WWE TLC 2017 airs this Sunday on the WWE Network. The Shield will face an uphill battle when they challenge The Miz, The Bar, Braun Strowman and Kane in a TLC match. There have been some great TLC matches and some not so great TLC matches in the past. Here are the 5 best TLC matches of all-time:
5Jeff Hardy vs CM Punk (SummerSlam 2009)
WWE was a hell of a lot better when CM Punk was around and during his tenure with the company, he was part of some of the most memorable promos and matches in recent memory. One of Punk’s better matches of his WWE career happened at SummerSlam 2009 when he faced off against Jeff Hardy in a TLC match.
This match took place right around the time when Hardy’s second run with WWE was coming to an end. CM Punk was a heel at the time and try to dismantle Jeff Hardy with all of the weapons in the ring. Hardy connected with a Swanton Bomb off an absurdly tall ladder through the announce table. CM Punk emerged victorious in an excellent TLC match that often gets forgotten.
